Having finished detailing the city of Pellod for month 2 of #Dungeon23, we now have a great base-camp created for adventurers keen on exploring the Found Tombs of Arvakaten. So, let us now return to the tombs to see what horrors lurk within, on the dreaded second level!
The Found Tombs of Arvakaten, Level Two
The End of Steps Downwards (#1/31; #60/365)
"The steps lead downwards to a small dusty chamber where three corridors converge; there are tracks everywhere through the dust on the floor, between all portals. More dusty debris is piled up in the corners of the room - some of it looks ancient, others appear to be recent refuse. Two of the corridors are unremarkable, however, the third central passage is marked with signs in a variety of languages, one of which is Allansian, and reads 'TAVERN THIS WAY!'"
Contents: The other signs all say the same thing, and are written in scripts for Orcish, Gnollish, Caarth, Desert Nomad, Sand Stalker and Dwarfish. The debris is unremarkable, consisting of rotting wicker furniture, piles of terracotta tiles, broken ceramic vases and jars, mildewed bales of straw, and piles of bones from various creatures. A dedicated searcher may find a potentially valuable copper vase among the trash (actually, it's worthless).
These rooms can all form a mega dungeon and be your next Arion Games book.
ReplyDeleteThat's totally an excellent plan! :-)
