Bracelet of Mermaid Scales (#16/31, #137/365) [EA:V2] (Trinket)
This is a thick bracelet completely covered in the scales from a Mermaid (see Out of the Pit, pp. 81-82) or a Coral Mermaid (see Creatures of Mishna, p. 9). When worn, it will repel all tentacled Molluscs or Mollusc-like monsters, such as Tentacled Things, the Tentallus, Giant Squid, and so on. The monster will avoid the wearer of the bracelet and try to get as far away from them as possible.
Unlike similar items from northern Allansia (e.g. see Encyclopedia Arcana: Volume 1, p. 125), this takes the form of a silver armband inset with a large emerald. The effects are slightly different too, as it is a magical armband that gives strength to one's sword-arm in battle. Anyone wearing the Armband of Strength in combat gains a +1 bonus to their SKILL score.
